Richardson Electronics has announced the availability of a selection of wideband attenuators from Integrated Device Technology, (IDT). The F1912, F1950, F1951, F1953 and F1956 are part of IDT’s family of Glitch-Free digital step attenuators optimized for the demanding requirements of base station radio cards and communications infrastructure applications.

The silicon design results in very low insertion loss, low distortion and the devices offer pinpoint accuracy with excellent ESD protection. IDT’s Glitch-Free technology results in low overshoot and minimal ringing during MSB transitions. These DSAs are offered in compact 4x4mm QFN packages with 50Ω impedances for ease-of-integration.

According to IDT, additional key features of these Glitch-Free DSAs include:

The F2250, F2255 and F2258 are low insertion loss, voltage variable RF attenuators designed for a variety of wireless and other RF applications. With broad frequency ranges, the devices also provide good linearity performance over the entire voltage control and attenuation range. These VVAs also feature a VMODE pin that allows either positive or negative voltage control slope vs. attenuation and multi-directional operation, which means that the RF input can be applied to either RF1 or RF2 pins.

These VVAs are offered in 3x3mm, 16-pin QFN (F2250 and F2255) and TQFN (F2258) packages.
