With the move towards smaller and more powerful power supply systems and to help meet the growing demands of high wattage and high power density for rack system applications, Ecopac Power introduces the Mean Well RCP-2000 series.
Designed and manufactured with compact size and very high power efficiency the Mean Well RCP-2000 has 21.4W/ in3 high power density. Available with three different single output voltages 12V@100A, 24V@80A, and 48V@42A, this industrial standard Mean Well 1U high 19” rack system consists of one to three hot-swappable RCP-2000 units that provide up to 6000 watts in a single rack.

Three rack systems can be mounted and connected in parallel to give up to a massive 18,000 watts of output power. Designed with advanced digital control technology that uses a microprocessor as the core of the power management providing greater flexibility in power control and monitoring.

The reliability of the RCP-2000 power system is also increased due to less components allowing Mean Well to offer a 3-year warranty. The RCP-2000 series can withstand a 300VAC input surge for 5 seconds which helps reduce the damage caused by an unstable AC main.

With 92% of high efficiency and featuring active power factor correction the RCP-2000 series can operate between -40° to +70° ambient temperature and power-on at -40° is secure for 230VAC input or higher.

Standard functions include remote sense, remote ON/OFF control, 5V/0.3A & 12V/0.8A auxiliary outputs, AC OK and DC OK signals, fan fail warning and OTP alarm signals. Designed with a trimming function allows engineers to add an external 0.5~5VDC control voltage this allows the output voltage to be adjusted between 90 - 110% of the RCP-2000 rated value

The Mean Well RCP-2000 series have OR-ing MOSFET and Positronic connector, which allow customers to hot-swap units and reduce system downtime. The built-in PMBus serial communication interface offers users on-line monitoring if required. To help improve set up time the output voltage (±10%), output constant current level (10 - 100%), and the ON/OFF control of each single unit can be controlled via the signal input.

In addition signals like AC input fail, DC output fail, and temperature warning, over temperature protection and fan fail alarm. Calculating the value of output voltage, output current, and internal temperature of the PSU can all be monitored easily through the PMBus interface.

With all these advanced features and worldwide certificates UL / CUL / TUV / CB / CE, Ecopac Power recommend the RCP-2000 series for front-end power system, severs, telecommunications equipment, instrumentation, data storage and any applications where high installation density of 1U 19” rack is required.
