AC/DC power supplies for medical applications
Available with an output power of 150W, the CPAmed150 series of AC/DC power supplies have been announced by MTM Power. Complying with EN/UL 60 950-1 and EN/UL 60 601-1 "3rd edition" with 2 MOPP medical approvals, the series provides common single output voltages of 12, 24, 36 and 48V dc.
The series CPAmed150 has small dimensions of 76.2x127mm and an installation height of 26.7 mm, resulting in a high power density. The power supplies provide an AC input of 90-264V ac with active power factor correction and efficiency of up to 93%.
Operating over a temperature range from -20 to +70°C (>+40°C with derating) without active cooling, the series is designed for PCB mounting. The devices are overvoltage and short-circuit protected and need no ground load. The high quality components and the well-engineered and efficient circuit design gaurantee a high reliability and long life time (they provide a MTBF of 150,000 hours, MIL-HDBK-217F at 25°C).
Besides this 150 W version, the CPAmed series are also available with 20, 40, 60, 100 and 350W output power.
