Engineered for 24/7 data collection, monitoring and processing applications, Fitlet2 operates with an extended range of operating temperatures (-40 to 85°C) whilst still drawing as low as from 5W.
Cost effective power supply offers quiet operation
The 1325, a high quality cost effective power supply has been introduced Global Specialties, is suitable for use in education, industry, and hobby electronics. It offers easy to use design, portability, quiet operation, and USB output perfect for charging a cell phone. Use various combinations of the 80W power output by adjusting the voltage anywhere from 0-16V and the current from 0-5 amps.
App prevents the pain of non-starts this winter
During the cold winter a dead battery is one of the most common reasons for roadside assistance, but a clever smartphone app supported by a self-installed plug-in device from Smartdriverclub, the connected car service, can help motorists avoid a nasty shock when they switch on the ignition. The smartphone app – Viewpoint – will send an alert to the motorist if it detects the battery charge is running low so that they can get the ...
Bringing IoT to the power distribution sector
ide Systems has appointed Wayne Woodhead to the role of operations director. In one of his first public actions in the new role, Woodhead is calling on business leaders in the construction, events and offshore oil and gas sectors to make the shift to IoT-enabled smart monitoring of power distribution.

Electronic components manufacturer, CUI’s Power Group has announced the continued expansion of its portfolio of high density open frame AC/DC power supplies with the introduction of two new series. The VOF‑180 and VOF‑225A series, outputting 180 and 225W of continuous power respectively, feature high efficiencies up to 94% and high power densities up to 30W/in3.
Panasonic app helps you find the right battery
Our world today is absolutely buzzing with modern electronics, and it can be quite difficult to find the right type of battery for a specific device. This is where Panasonic Energy Europe can help. The battery manufacturer has launched the ‘Panasonic Battery App’ – an easy-to-use mobile app enabling buyers to quickly and effortlessly find the battery they need.
Power monitor measures current and voltage accuracy
Analog Devices, which recently acquired Linear Technology, has announced the LTC2992, a wide range I²C system monitor that monitors the current, voltage and power of two 0-100V rails without additional circuitry. The LTC2992 has flexible power supply options, deriving power from a 3-100V monitored supply, a 2.7-100V secondary supply, or from the onboard shunt regulator.
DC/AC sine wave inverters offer three input voltages
The CSI 100-3W-F1 series of DC/AC inverters that deliver up to 100VA output power with pure sine wave output voltage, has recently been released by ABSOPULSE Electronics. The units offer an input range of 20-60VDC, which allows operation from 24, 36 and 48VDC input sources, all in a single unit.
Future proofing energy solutions for medical devices
We are all very aware of how portable consumer electronic devices have transformed our daily lives. It may be a cliché, but none of these portable devices would exist if it were not for the batteries that power them. Neil Oliver, Technical Marketing Manager at Accutronics, explains how designers can future-proof medical devices and their energy supply.
