Axial lead fuse provides battery charger protection
The axial lead 3.6x9mm 777 series fuse from Littelfuse is designed for overcurrent protection in electronic appliance charger applications. The robust design enables the device to withstand up to 24 hits of 7.5kV ringwave surge; it will open safely on a direct short condition without producing body ruptures and soot phenomenon.
Power semiconductors deliver high energy efficiency
Two ranges of power semiconductors from Power Integrations are in stock at RS Components. Delivering high energy efficiency with integrated protection features, these are the LinkSwitch-TN2 family of offline switcher ICs and the HiperPFS-4 family of power factor Correction (PFC) ICs.
9W in a SIP-8 package provided in DC/DC converters
Additionally offering its proven PMBW and PMB DC/DC converter series with up to 9W of output power, PEAK electronics has increased the components from being previously available with just 1W, 2W, 3W and 6W. In addition, both series of converters are now available in SIP-8 packages, meaning a space saving of almost 50% compared to the DIP-24 packages offered so far.
DC/DC converters designed for vehicle and rail applications
Specially designed for applications in vehicle and rail technology, MTM Power has introduced the primary switched DC/DC converters PCMDS150WK-IP65, which are also for use in industrial and telecommunication applications. The push-pull topology used while developing these converters enables a wide input voltage range with high efficiency. Thus the 150W converters are available with a wide input range for battery voltages of 24, 36, 48, 60, 72...
