Successful placement with local power supply manufacturer
Since TDK-Lambda UK hosted a successful six-week summer placement for local student Tom Perry, he has started a four-year course at the University of Oxford, reading a Master’s Degree in Physics, sponsored throughout by the North Devon Manufacturers Association (NDMA) undergraduate scheme and summer employment programme.
BGA packaging option for digital point-of-load DC/DC converters
Flex Power Modules has announced that its BMR466 and BMR461 digital Point-Of-Load (POL) DC/DC power modules are now available to customers with BGA (Ball Grid Array) packaging, as well as in their original compact LGA (Land Grid Array) package. Both modules target deployment in distributed power and intermediate bus voltage architectures within the ICT (Information and Communication Technology), telecom and industrial sectors.
TVS Diodes designed to protect high-speed interfaces in automotive applications
Bourns, Inc. has introduced a TVS diodes series featuring low capacitance of 3pF (picofarads) making them suitable protection devices for the high-speed interfaces found in today's automotive, communication line and industrial applications. The Bourns Model CDSOD323-TxxC-DSLQ TVS diodes also offer the Bourns' lowest TVS diode leakage current of 1nA (nanoampere).
Motor driver IC comes with rotation speed control function
Toshiba Electronics Europe has announced the launch of the TC78B025FTG, a three-phase brushless motor driver IC with a rotation speed control (closed loop control) function. The new device is intended for small fan applications in servers, home appliances and industrial equipment. The cooling fans used in servers and other must be small and rotate at high speeds with uniform accuracy.
Fire-proof case to transport lithium-ion batteries safely
With low-weight and high efficiency there is no wonder lithium-ion batteries are chosen to be the central part of an electric car, and battery-powered tools and not forgetting the smartphone. However, their extremely high energy density harbours considerable risk of fire. Dangerous goods packaging expert, ZARGES, is expanding its portfolio with the launch of the K470 Battery Box aluminium case, specially designed for transporting and safekee...
REO awarded highest quality management system standard
As part of its commitment to providing high quality components and services, REO UK has achieved its certification to Quality Management Systems (QMS) Standard ISO 9001:2015. The certification demonstrates the company’s position as a trusted manufacturer and supplier to existing and prospective customers.
DC/DC converters feature fully regulated outputs
MINMAX Technology is offering a wide assortment of high performance DC/DC converter modules to meet a broad range of space- and cost-critical application needs in industrial electronics, energy facilities, and communication industries.
16-bit DAC enables analogue output modules without de-rating
Analog Devices has introduced the AD5758 digital-to-analogue converter (DAC). It incorporates the company’s second-generation Dynamic Power Control (DPC) to enable high density AOUT modules without requiring de-rating — the need to turn off channels due to thermal build up—resulting in lower cost, more compact designs. This single-channel current/voltage DAC with DPC is designed for channel-to-channel isolated industrial applica...
Introduction to the Battery Management Studio
Battery Management Studio (bqStudio) is the standard tool to interface with all battery management gauges highlighting the setup, software, configuring and generating logs and golden files.
