Rated at 350W output power, the CUS350M series of AC/DC power supplies has been introduced by TDK-Lambda with both medical and ITE certification to the IEC 60601-1 and IEC 60950-1 regulatory standards. Requiring no forced air for cooling, the CUS350M is suited for applications where audible noise cannot be tolerated, including hospital, dental, broadcast and professional audio equipment.

The power supplies can operate from an 85 to 264VAC input, and are initially available with 12, 18, 24 or 48V nominal outputs. With efficiencies of up to 94%, the CUS350M meets the ErP Directive with an average efficiency rating of greater than 87% and a stand-by power consumption of less than 0.5W. Less internal waste heat allows the product to conservatively operate at full power in -20 to +40°C ambient temperatures, and up to +70°C with derating.

The compact CUS350M measures 190x87mm, with a height of 40mm for 1U rack mounting. The preferred “/F” suffix models have a 5V 0.5A standby output, an auxiliary 12V 0.3A output, remote sense, remote on/off and an isolated DC good signal.

The CUS350M series has an input to output isolation of 4,000VAC (2 x MOPPs), 2,000VAC from input to ground (1 x MOPP) and 1,500VAC (1 x MOPP) from output to ground. Safety certifications include IEC/EN 60601-1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1 and IEC/EN/US 60950-1 with CE marking for the Low Voltage and RoHS2 Directives.

The units also comply with EN 55011-B, EN 55022-B and FCC Class B for conducted emissions (Class A radiated) and meet the IEC 61000-4 immunity standards.
