Powersolve has announced the ESA24 Series of plug-top adaptors designed for medical system applications. The new power adaptors accept a universal 90 to 264VAC input and provide single outputs from 3.3 to 24VDC. They meet the latest Energy Star requirements, feature minimum 85% efficiency levels and a no load input power figure of 0.5W max. Ground leakage current is a maximum of 10µA.
The ESA24 Series comes with interchangeable AC plugs for the UK, USA, the EU and Australia although Powersolve can supply plugs to suit other countries on request. Providing up to 24W, the adaptors have single outputs giving 3.3, 5, 9, 12, 15,18 or 24VDC.

Housed in a compact plastic enclosure measuring 88 x 48 x 29mm, output is via a 1.2m flying lead with a 2.1 x 5.5 x 11mm barrel connector as standard. Other connector types are available as an option.

In addition to meeting the requirements of the Energy Star programme, the ESA24 Series complies with all relevant international safety standards as well as EMC compliance to EN55022’B’, CISPR 22 ‘B’ and FCC’B’.
