220W desktop power supplies for medical applications

Certified to EN60601-1 3rd edition medical safety standards, the PMP220 series of desktop power supplies have been announced by Protek Power. Delivering up to 220W of power, the power supplies are Class I and Class II medical grade units that accept a 90-264V AC input and are available with either a C14 or C8 AC input.

Encased in the industry’s most compact (7.76x3.46x1.74") UL 94V-0 rated case, the series features high efficiency, over-voltage, short-circuit and overpower protection, an operating temperature range from 0 to +40°C, ±0.5% line regulation, and 2 MOPP (means of patient protection) 4000V AC input to output isolation.

Single output models provide voltages of 19, 24, 28 and 36V DC. Units are RoHS compliant, have a standby consumption of less than 0.5W, meeting Efficiency Level V. EMC performance meets Class B standards and units have an MTBF of more than 100,000 hours at full load. This series is suited for a variety of medical applications including patient vicinity medical devices and home health care apparatus.

Units are economically priced, with the PMP220 series starting at $74.00 (USD) in OEM quantity, with delivery from stock to 12 weeks ARO.
