Europlacer, a designer and manufacturer of comprehensive SMT pick-and-place equipment for the global electronics industry, announces that VadaTech, Inc., a board level design and manufacturing company focused on quick-turn designs for the embedded market, has purchased two XPii-IIT pick-and-place machines for its plant in Henderson, NV.
“We were considering adding a third line to handle our increased production demands, but we really did not have the space available to be up and running quickly,” said Saeed Karamooz, owner of VadaTech. “We were ecstatic to learn that the XPii pick-and-place machines would effectively double our productivity with a fraction of the floor space that would have been required for an all new SMT production line. Europlacer has done a great job giving users the most efficient upgrade path to handle increased production and new technologies.”

The XPii-IIT is a seamless, high-speed extension of the highly flexible iineo SMT pick-and-place platform, incorporating dual 12-spindle “Tornado” heads which enable at least 10 percent faster speeds than the standard 8-spindle head.

Both XPii and IINEO share the company’s proven core features — turret heads, intelligent feeders and powerful software. Users start with the iineo pick-and-place machine, accommodating up to 264 8 mm feeders to support high productivity in a high-mix environment. When additional capacity is required, the XPii is then added in front of the iineo to effectively double line capacity without doubling the required floor space.
