Vapor phase manufacturer R&D Technical Services Inc. announces that it has relocated to a new manufacturing facility located at 1411 East Cliff Road in Burnsville, MN. The new facility enables R&D Technical Services to create better manufacturing flow for production and respond more efficiently to its customers’ needs.

“The new location is about one mile from our current location and should suit our needs much better,” said David Suihkonen, President of R&D Technical Services Inc. “As hard as moves can be, we decided to take advantage of the spotty economy and signed a great lease saving nearly 30 percent on our yearly rate. We have been at this location for 15 years so you can imagine the amount of house cleaning but it has been a good chance to really clear out the excess. We move to our new site a much tighter, less cluttered operation.”

As the leading innovator of vapor phase technology, R&D provides equipment for numerous markets including SMT reflow, lead-free reflow, curing, drying, mechanical attachment and plastic package testing. The company offers a superior solder reflow process by combining the best characteristics of both radiant/convection preheating for optimum solder paste conditioning prior to reflow and vapor phase reflow technology for excellent peak temperature uniformity and repeatability. With its new “Vapor Works” division, R&D is responsible for the world’s first Vapor Phase Rework System, offering new solutions to the ever more challenging rework industry.
