PREMO, high quality inductive components manufacturer, is showing its comprehensive and innovative portfolio of components for photovoltaic applications with Ozeki, PREMO sales representative in Japan, at PV Japan 2010, which takes place from June 30-July 2, 2010. Visit PREMO at Hall C, booth P-C108.

PV Japan 2010 is a new solar power event in Japan dedicated to all fields of photovoltaic technology and all segments of the global solar industry. The exhibition, a symposium and networking event is held in Yokohama Pacific Convention Plaza in Yokohama, Japan. The event attracts a high number of visitors like solar cell, module and system manufacturers, solar materials and components producers, manufacturing and testing equipment providers and installation-related technology.

Product highlights:

Current sensing:

Current measurement is a critical issue in PV installations. Premo's HCT and DCT current transducers allow DC and AC current measurements with accuracy, linearity and reliability. Either for DC links or as an internal component in the electronic Inverters, Premo's current transducers are the best option for this challenging purpouse.

• Accurate Hall Effect sensors: Open Loop and Close Loop solutions measure DC currents up to 2000A. HCT series can reach accuracy levels as low as 0.2%. There are available different mounting solutions (PCB soldering, screw connections, etc). Operating temperatures up to 85ºC makes this series perfect for PV industrial applications.

• High precision and linearity Fluxgate transducers Premo offer this current transducer range from 200 to 700A. The special PWM control technique assures no temperature drift and practically negligible offset. Typical applications are high reliability and accuracy PV inverters.

DC Filters:

EMC filter for PV installations (HCWMGF and FVDT), which allows EMC standards compliance for entire PV system, prevent pre-mature panel aging and reduce installation volume. FEDC Series has been designed to reduce conducted emissions towards the solar panel, to reduce EMI from the solar panel, allowing a longer solar panel lifetime and increases installation service life.

Demonstrations also take part in PREMO stand like the PV Efficiency measurement system with the latest innovations in input and output EMC filters.

With expert knowledge of the product development for renewable energies market, the company is now focusing on a major expansion into the Japanese market. Jorge Hermoso, Global sales director said “Japanese market is part of PREMO strategy, is a difficult market to penetrate for foreign companies but PREMO has a powerful and high innovative products to entry in this market like the newest DCT series, which is having a resounding success “.
