The specialist world of medical device assembly puts unusual challenges before manufacturers of products such as catheters, so it is exciting that market leaders Intertronics will launch an adhesive at Medtec (April 6-7th at the NEC) that is specifically formulated for that application.
Intertronics Stand No. 1714, Hall 9 will see their UK launch of a new MD® Medical Device Adhesive from sales partner DYMAX - a tack-free, LED-curable adhesive formulated for fast, on-demand cure with a suitable UVA spot-curing lamp. This adhesive is designed for rapid bonding of a wide variety of plastics typically used in the manufacture of catheters – substrates such as PC, PU, ABS, and PVC. 210-CTH is moisture resistant, cures tack free with light in less than 0.4 seconds, and is ideal for Y-connector assembly, connector-to-tube bonding, and balloon bonding.

210-CTH light-curable adhesive offers a reliable cost-saving assembly solution for catheter manufacturers, it is ISO 10993 approved and formulated to meet the unique assembly challenges associated with the newest catheter materials. Not only is 210-CTH solvent free with excellent adhesion to a variety of substrates, it also has a high degree of flexibility, and ultra-fast cure speeds for consistent, low-stress catheter assembly and is compatible with gamma, EtO, and E-Beam sterilization.
