Vishay’s ultra low ESR solid tantalum chip capacitors available from TTI, Inc.
Based on a dual anode construction that delivers the lowest ESR in their class, T97 Tantamount® conformally coated solid tantalum capacitors manufactured by Vishay and available from TTI, Inc., the world’s leading authorized specialist distributor of passive, connector and electromechanical components, combine the flexibility of a commercial product with the reliability required for demanding applications by offering high reliability screening and surge current testing options.
High reliability screening options on these conformal coated capacitors include the Weibull grading and surge current testing in accordance with MIL-PRF-55365 in a variety of case sizes. The capacitors are available with values from 22 µF to 1500 µF with a voltage range from 4 to 50 V. ESR values range from 0.015 to 0.17 Ohms at 25 degrees Celsius and operating temperature range covers -55 to 125 degrees Celsius.

T97 capacitors are designed for safety-critical applications that include military, aerospace, and medical. Typical end products are weapons and radar systems, avionics, space electronics and medical instrumentation. A key differentiator of these capacitors from commercial grade devices is the ability to use the reliability and surge screening options to ensure performance in high-reliability applications while still maintaining a maximum capacitance-voltage product.
