Three position controller features Hall effect technology
A single axis three position Hall effect thumb control, designed for material handling and construction applications requiring a reliable device for ‘change direction’ and ‘gear switching’ functions, has been released by APEM. The FR series switch operates from a 5VDC supply, providing an analogue voltage output at each detent location.
To provide long life performance, the device features contactless Hall effect technology. The control, which is available with single or redundant outputs, is rated up to three million full forward to back lifecycles.
Environmentally sealed to IP69K, the FR series switch is designed for operation in extreme temperatures from -40 to +85⁰C, making it suitable for material handling, construction and agriculture applications.
The device may be specified with either 10” flying leads or a Molex 2.54mm (.100”) pitch connector in the bottom of the housing. Single output configurations feature a 5 position TE 3-647166-5 connector, while dual output configurations feature a 7 position TE 3-647166-7 connector.
The FR series switch is available with a wide range of configuration options including voltage output range, handle colour and mounting style.
