Providing high accuracy in precision, high-voltage instrumentation and amplifiers, Vishay Intertechnology announces the HVPS series of through-hole single-in-line thin film resistors. The devices feature high resistance values to 10MΩ, tight tolerances down to ±0.01% and high working voltages to 1800V.

The HVPS resistors combine their high working voltage with stable film characteristics of ±0.05% for 2,000 hours at +70°C, ultra-low TCR of ±5ppm/°C, and a wide resistance range from 50kΩ to 10MΩ. Offering a conformal coating, the devices are optimised for high-voltage telecommunications, industrial and test and measurement applications.

HVPS devices feature very low noise of less than -30dB, low thermal EMF of less than 0.1µV/°C, high power ratings up to 400mW and an operating temperature range from -55 to +125°C. Available with lead-bearing and lead (Pb)-free options, the resistors are halogen-free and flame-resistant in accordance to UL 94 V-0.

The HVPS1 features a resistance range from 50kΩ to 5MΩ, a power rating of 125mW and a working voltage of 250V. The HVPS2 features a resistance range from 100kΩ to 10MΩ, a power rating of 400mW and a working voltage of 200-1800V.

Samples and production quantities of the HVPS resistors are available now, with lead times of eight weeks.
