knitter-switch introduces an encoder which saves space due to its small foot print and height. It is designed for applications which require a high quality encoder where space is extremely restricted, e.g. measurement instrumentation or household applications.

The MERS 5-12 is requires a space of 6x9mm on a PCB and with a casing height under 3mm it is extremely flat. The high quality encoder has to be operated from the top, has 12 pulses/detents per rotation and a mechanical life of 100,000 turns.
