Semtech has announced a 33V, high-performance TVS device designed to protect small form factor proximity sensors from ESD, EFT and low level surge transients. The single-line uClamp3601P achieves a remarkably low ESD clamping voltage - critical in safeguarding proximity sensors in harsh and noisy industrial environments - in a small 1.0x0.6mm footprint.

AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications, the TVS device offers transient protection for high-speed data lines to IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) ±20kV (air), ±15kV (contact); IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) 40A (5/50ns). The Pb free and RoHS/WEEE compliant uClamp3601P can protect one I/O line.

The uClamp3601P is available now in production quantities, priced at $0.29 each in 10,000 unit quantities.
