A moulded current sense resistor, which features a 3W power rating in 4528 size, has been introduced by KOA Speer Electronics. The SLN3 is a moulded resin resistor that provides outstanding dimensional accuracy, mountability and shock resistance. Due to its metal plate terminal electrode, the device also offers outstanding terminal strength, heat and shock resistance and solderability.

The resistor has a low T.C.R. down to ±75ppm with resistance tolerance as low as 0.5% and a wide operating temperature range of -55 to +180°C. The SLN3 will be offered in resistance values of 5-110mΩ.

The AEC-Q200 qualified device is a surface-mount type resistor with flame proof UL94V0 moulded case.

Designed for current detection, the SLN3 current sense resistors are suitable for transportation, industrial, telecomms and consumer electronics markets in applications such as personal computing devices, DC/DC conversion, automotive modules, motor control and power supplies.

Lead time for the SLN3 is 12 weeks. Samples are available upon request.
