Bourns announced the release of the Model PTVS15-xxxC-TH Series high current TVS diodes. These high current bidirectional TVS diodes are designed for use in AC line protection and high power DC bus clamping applications.

They offer bidirectional port protection from 58 volts to 76 volts. The devices are RoHS compliant and UL Recognized (pending). They also meet IEC 61000-4-5 8/20 µs current surge requirements.

The use of silicon technology in the Power TVS products offers lower clamping voltage under surge compared to competing Metal Oxide Varistor technology.

The Bourns Model PTVS15-xxxC-TH High Current TVS Diodes are provided in through-hole packages and meet industry standard requirements such as RoHS and Pb Free solder reflow profiles.
