Rapid Electronics has reduced its prices on two popular ranges of high energy dissipation carbon composition resistors from leading manufacturer Arcol.

One of the most popular types of circuit resistor, the RCC series is one of Arcol’s best selling lines. Totalling over 140 individual lines, the 0.25W and 0.50W RCC series of axial lead resistors are available in a wide range of values, from 2.2Ω to 910kΩ. These solid carbon composition resistors have been designed for very high pulse capability and energy dissipation, and provide good stability and high reliability. They have 5% tolerance, low inductance and capacitance levels and a peak pulse voltage of 6kv on the 025 series and 10kv on the 050 series. Operating temperatures range from -55°C to +125°C.

The RCC series’ carbon comp design provides much better pulse endurance compared to film type resistors, making the components ideal for all kinds of prototyping and development work, circuit assembly and audio applications.

Richard Philpot, passive components product manager at Rapid, commented: ‘We are delighted to be able to offer competitive prices on these Arcol resistor lines. They are high quality components which we can offer in significant volumes. Customers may be interested to know that Rapid also stock a wide range of chip resistors, metal film, low ohmic and wirewound products, all from leading brands.’

Up to +1000 price breaks are available across these Arcol ranges and discounts are possible on bulk orders.
