Ohmite has today announced the release of a new series of epoxy coated high voltage axial leaded resistors. The new Maxi Mox Series resistors use an epoxy, rather than silicon coating in order to reduce the costs and decrease lead times of this popular component.

Available in five sizes, with power ratings from 2 to 6 watts, the Maxi- Mox NI range offers voltage ratings from 10 to 50KV.

The Maxi Mox resistors are suitable for industrial applications requiring still more power for high voltage switching, industrial control, and high voltage current limiting.

With resistance values up from 1M- 1G, the non-inductive serpentine pattern of ruthenium thick film ink is applied to a high purity alumina core, providing a low profile, high performance alternative to flat radial leaded high voltage thick film resistors.

Key Features:
• Wide resistance ranges
• Voltage rating to 50KV
• Power rating to 12.5 watts
• Silicone or epoxy coating
• Non-inductive available

Applications:
• HV power supplies
• Power distribution
• Medical instrumentation
• Avionics

There are 30 standard part numbers which will be available from distributor stock.
