Low capacitance surge protection for 12V interfaces

The two-line TClamp1202P delivers optimal transient protection, featuring a very low clamping voltage and a line-to-line capacitance of less than 12pF. The part’s robust (100A, tp=8/20μs) surge rating for high-surge lightning protection meets the industry’s most stringent telecomms and industrial surge requirements. The flow-through layout of the part enhances signal quality and design flexibility. These benefits make the TClamp1202P suited for safeguarding the many RS-485 interfaces deployed in telecomms and industrial applications such as wireless base stations and digital surveillance cameras. It offers an impressive 100A (8x20µs waveform) of surge immunity in an ultra-small 2x2mm package.
