Lorlin Sub-Miniature Rotary Switch

Lorlin Electronics, has announced the introduction of its new MT sub-miniature rotary switch, coded the MT series. Suitable for though panel or on-PCB switching applications the MT series offers up to 8 switching positions in a 9.5mm diameter x 6.4mm high TO5 style moulded package.
The MT sub-miniature rotary switch series offers a very wide range of switching options from 1 pole up to 8 break-before-make contacts plus an “off” position. Switching action may be continuous through 360° or stopped in the last position where the range of rotation equates to the number of contacts, i.e. 45° for two positions through to 315° for the full 8 positions. All switching operations have a positive tactile action.

Two actuating options are available, spindle or screwdriver slot. For operation through panels two spindle sizes are available, 7.75mm long x 3.58mm diameter or 1.27mm long x 4.69mm diameter, both have a full length “flat” for secure mounting of operating knob. For internal or secure switching on system PCB’s a flush, screwdriver slot operating version is also available.

Switch contacts are high reliability silver plated phosphor bronze rated at 500mA @ 24V AC or DC with an operating life greater than 5,000 cycles. Operating temperature range is –30 ºC to +65º C and the switch proof voltage is 500VAC.
