With three versions available, the ARC series of versatile, high-quality, non-inductive, high voltage, thick film resistors have been announced by ARCOL Resistors. The devices target a variety of applications, including high voltage medical systems, test and measuring equipment, HV power supplies, high specification instrumentation, voltage dividers, measuring equipment, electrostatic and current limiting devices.

Typical applications for the ARC resistors include traction, snubbers, switched mode power supplies and non-inductive resistors for high frequency and pulse applications.

Utilising a space saving planar design, the ARC1 series features voltage handling capability of up to 35kVDC and an operating temperature range from -55 to +175°C. With an ohmic value range from 1KΩ to 30GΩ and a maximum power of 10W, the ARC1 resistors are available with axial or radial assembly and either conformal or glass coatings.

Operating over a temperature range from -55 to +225°C, the ARC2 series radial design resistors feature a maximum operating voltage of 54kVDC and ohmic values from 400RΩ to 30GΩ at up to 17W.

The ARC3 resistors are also radial design and operate over a temperature range from -55 to +225°C. The ARC3 series provides voltage handling capability of up to 96kVDC, ohmic values from 2RΩ to 25GΩ and a maximum available commercial wattage of 105W.

The ARC resistors are available across a variety of TCR and tolerance options and are RoHS compliant.
