Hongfa’s HFD4 is a purpose designed, 4th generation relay available from distributor Switchtec. Meeting many international standards, the relay is one of the smallest of its type in the marketplace, and saves space in crowded telecoms PCB applications.
Featuring a slim, compact design, the HFD4 measures just 10 x 6.5 x 5.4mm, taking up very little PCB area. Exhibiting versatility, the HFD4 is available as a standard relay with a mono-stable coil (non latching) but it can also be supplied with a latching coil (single coil).
Designed for telecommunication applications, the HFD4 features two change over contacts (2 form C/DPDT) rated at 2A 30VDC, both contacts being gold plated silver alloy for low resistance and long life. For safety and reliability, the HFD4 offers a high dielectric strength of 1.8KVAC.

Format wise, the HFD4 is a DIL PCB relay, available with straight pins for through hole mounting, or with surface mounting pins for PC surface mounting. Making it suitable for use in equipments for export use, the HFD4 has UL/CSA approval, it meets EN60950 and EN41003. The relay’s high surge capability meets FCC Part 68 and Telecordia.

As well as the telecoms industry, the HFD4’s compact size and specification make it ideal for use in office and business equipment, measurement and control equipment, consumer electronics (set top boxes, A&V equipment) and medical equipment.

Together with the complete, vast range of Hongfa relays, the HFD4 is available ex stock from Switchtec.
