Cherry Electrical Products will display its brand new DS switch at the Southern Manufacturing show in February. Fitting the mounting dimensions of popular V3 snap-action switches, devices offers increased reliability and a solid state sinking output using hall-effect technology.
The DS series is tested to more than 110 million operations as opposed to the 1 million for non-hall sensor mechanical snap action switches. Offering high- and standard-ratio actuator positions, the switches are available with lever, roller and simulated roller actuators. Parts deliver a supply voltage (VDC) between 4.5 and 24, a maximum supply current of 15mA at 25degC and a maximum output current of 20mA. Parts operate between -40 and 85degC and are certified UL94V-O.

Applications include pedal position-, joystick position- and end-of-travel sensing, as well as door/lid interlock.

Also on show will be the company’s New Generation Product range of Computer Input Devices, including Cherry’s modern, ultra flat, luxury keyboards, as well as a broad range of automotive components (such as car body latch assemblies and analogue IC sensing devices for critical applications), sensors and switches. Cherry’s stand number is M37.
