C&K Components has developed a new family of tumbler switchlocks. Designated the Y Series, the anti-static 4, 5 and 6 tumbler switchlocks exceed 20KVDC static resistance and are available with 200, 750 and 2,000 key codes, respectively.

“Static-free and available with up to 2,000 key codes, the Y Series tumbler switchlocks are ideal for a number of consumer applications including point-of-sale terminals, cash registers and computers,” said Vinny Acampora, product manager for C&K Components. “The versatile switchlocks are also available in momentary model versions and are offered with wire leads and harnesses, allowing us to provide customers with a one-stop-shop for the complete assembly.”

The Y Series switches feature a zinc alloy with stainless steel or gloss black facing lock, and a UL 94V-0-approved glass-filled polyester switch housing. The 4 and 5 tumbler locks include nickel-plated brass keys, while the 6 tumbler lock features two die cast chrome-plated zinc alloy keys.

Contact rating is 4A @ 125VAC/28VDC and 2A @ 250VAC, with a contact resistance of 11mA for both the silver- and gold-plated contacts. Minimum dielectric strength is 1000Vrms, and the switchlocks feature an electrical life to 10,000 make and break cycles at full load.
