C&K Components, a leading international supplier of tact switches, toggle, rocker and pushbutton switches, and smart card interconnect devices, has expanded its snap-acting switch line to include subminiature versions that can be used as detect switches.

Designated the ZMA Series, the detect switches feature a positive and reliable snap-acting mechanism in a small, compact housing. Available with various PCB terminals and nine different actuator configurations, including pin plunger, levers and simulated rollers of all sizes, the ZMA Series can be specified to meet a wide range of application requirements.

³The ZMA Series switches combine the high reliability and ruggedness with versatility and customization to provide a subminiature detect switch ideal for applications ranging from PCB detection to consumer electronics,² said Vinny Acampora, product manager at C&K Components.

The ZMA Series subminiature snap-acting detect switches have a long mechanical life span of more than 300,000 cycles @ 0.1A. The ZMA Series devices also feature a contact rating of up to 3A at 125VAC. The RoHS-compliant switches feature an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.

Typical applications include PCB detection switch, communication devices, testing equipment, security/alarm systems and consumer electronics.
