C&K Components, a leading international supplier of tact switches, toggle, rocker and pushbutton switches, and smart card interconnect devices, has expanded its family of miniature slide switches with the low-profile JSM sub-miniature slide switch. Measuring just 2.6mm by 7.6mm in size, the surface-mount switch provides SPDT momentary action and is designed specifically for applications where height or surface area is restricted.

“The new JSM is extremely sensitive to actuation despite its small size, making it ideal for applications such as on/off touch screens, handheld games, remote controls and instrumentation,” said Vinny Acampora, worldwide product manager for C&K Components. “We have also designed it to reach a greater number of life cycles as compared to other available sub-miniature slide switches.”

All JSM Series switches feature positive detents, IR reflow to 260° solder profile, and maintained and momentary functions. The JSM has a contact rating is 10mA @ 5VDC, with a lifespan to 100,000 cycles. It is RoHS-compliant and meets all requirements of RoHS directive 2002/95EC.
