Maxim’s Beyond-the-Rails Mux and Switch Family Simplifies Power-Supply Requirements for Switching High-Voltage Signals
Maxim Integrated Products announces the MAX14778 (analog mux) and MAX14759–MAX14764 (analog switches), ±25V above- and below-the-rails devices that let you switch/mux a wide signal range from standard 3V to 5.5V supplies. Designers no longer need multiple switches/mux to switch both high- and low-voltage signals. Maxim’s beyond-the-rail technology helps simplify power-supply requirements and system design.
ALPS introduces Half-Mount Type Sidepush TACT Switch from the SKSL Series
ALPS ELECTRIC EUROPE GmbH introduces the new SKSLLAE010, a half-mount type Sidepush TACT Switch suitable for use in personal computers, mobile phones, and associated peripherals. The surface-mountable switch is remarkable for its compact dimensions of 4.5mm x 2.6mm x 2.2mm (W x D x H) – the height above the PC board is only 1.6mm – and a long operating life of up to 600,000 cycles.
New IP65-sealed waveguide switches are ideal for use at satcom ground stations
New from the Engineering Division of Link Microtek is a series of waveguide switches that offer environmental sealing to IP65 standard, enabling them to operate reliably even when subjected to dusty or moist environmental conditions.
Syfer’s ProtectiCaps save on production stage
The latest innovation in multilayer chip capacitors (mlccs) from Syfer Technology is a range of compact devices suitable for high voltage applications, supplied with a built-in protective coating. Typically, with standard high voltage capacitors, a special coating is applied after the devices are soldered onto the board in order to minimise the risk of flashover from one termination on the chip to another.
Vishay Intertechnology’s New TANTAMOUNT Surface-Mount Molded Tantalum Chip Capacitors Offer Industry-Best Low DCL of 0.005 CV in Five Standard Case Sizes
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today introduced the new TL3 series of TANTAMOUNT surface-mount tantalum molded chip capacitors, the industry’s first such devices to offer DC leakage current (DCL) as low as 0.005 CV, a capability that enables system designers to extend battery run-time in portable devices.
An Extreme Temperature Binary Counter 74-4040 is Now Available from CISSOID
CISSOID is launching CHT-74-4040, a new member of its GALAXY digital product family. CHT-74-4040 is a 12-stage asynchronous binary counter, that can be used for instance as a frequency divider with a division rate up to 4096. Like other CHT products from CISSOID, it is guaranteed for operation from -55°C up to +225°C. It can also operate with a supply voltage in the range 3.3 to 5V (±10%).
Meder Electronic LI series of ultra-miniature reed relays
MEDER electronic Inc. announces the availability of the new and improved LI series of reed relays, an ultra-miniature relay ideal for use in high-voltage applications, including cable and in-circuit test equipment, high voltage test equipment, photovoltaic application change-over switches, as well as the emerging electric vehicles market.
Pickering Electronics High Voltage Reed Relays
Pickering Electronic’ High Voltage Reed Relays feature the highest quality instrumentation grade reed switches. They feature 1kV stand-off at 10 Watts switching up to 15kV stand-off at 50 Watts switching, making them suitable for the most demanding applications.
Vishay Releases Lead (Pb)-Free and Lead (Pb)-Bearing Thick Film Chip Resistors With IECQ-CECC Approval
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today released lead (Pb)-free and lead (Pb)-bearing thick film chip resistors with IECQ-CECC approval. Both devices are offered in two versions: approved to EN 140401-802, Version A, to meet the needs of the industrial electronics industry; and approved to EN 140401-802, Version E, for military, avionics, and space applications. Version E devices feature established reliability with an assessed failure rate level of E...
Integrated Relay Driver from Diodes Incorporated Optimizes Inductive Load Control
By integrating a complete solid-state relay driver into a single, surface-mount package, DRDC3105 from Diodes Incorporated minimizes the PCB footprint, reduces the component count and improves the reliability of inductive load control circuits. Providing a rugged interface between standard logic and 3V to 6V DC inductive loads, the relay driver is designed to handle relays, solenoids, incandescent lamps and small motors in a wide range of applica...
