Visitors to ECOC 2017 (18-20 September) in Gothenburg will be able to see demonstrations of Anritsu’s recently released MP1900A Signal Quality Analyser-R. The MP1900A series is a high-performance Bit Error Rate Tester (BERT) that accurately measures communications equipment, next-generation high-speed electronic and optical devices, including those for M2M and IoT applications, and optical transceivers used in high-end servers.

The MP1900A Signal Quality Analyser-R, an evolution of the MP1800A, is an expandable, high-performance BERT supporting physical layer evaluations of high-speed interfaces.

The all-in-one design covers early stage R&D evaluations ranging from next-generation 200GbE/400GbE network interfaces to PCI Express and bus interfaces.

A first demonstration will prove the MP1900A multichannel testing capability and flexible configurability by showing simultaneous generation of high quality 26.5GBaud and 53GBaud PAM4 signals with extremely low intrinsic jitter and high linearity, for signal integrity and compliancy testing towards the latest standards in 200G and 400G Ethernet transmission.

In a second joint demonstration with Teledyne-LeCroy, the MP1900A SQA-R Platform will show coverage of all required test phases for PCIe Gen3 and Gen 4, from stressed signal full auto calibration, to Rx/Tx Device testing, Link Training verification and Jitter Tolerance automatic validation.

The stressed signal calibration will be performed on a Teladyne-LeCroy LabMaster oscilloscope with a single SW tool controlling the whole test system.

Two other additions to Anritsu’s range of testing solutions will be on parade.

The 100G Multirate Module for the Network Master Pro MT1000A is an all-in-one tester which supports interface rates from 10Mbps to 100Gbps, and technologies including Ethernet, Optical Transport Networks (OTN), SDH/SONET, Fibre Channel, and CPRI/OBSAI

The BERTWave MP2110A is an all-in-one tester targeted at simultaneous BER (Bit Error Rate) measurements and Eye Pattern Analysis required for evaluation of optical modules and devices used in optical communications systems, including 100 GbE, InfiniBand EDR and 32G Fibre Channel.
