ETLG Inertial Aerosystems have announced a 14 pin version of the popular 28 pin, high temperature 12 bit analogue to digital converter manufactured by U.S. based Honeywell. Designated the HTADC 12, the component is available in packaged or die form. It is designed to enable reliable measurement and control in high temperature environments such as those experienced in deep drilling operations and inside jet engines.
The technology was developed from the US Dept of Energy funded Deep Trek programme and offers X4 better resolution compared to competitive offerings.

This versatile device is a monolithic 12 bit 100,000 samples per second converter The product can sustain reliable 225 degrees C operation for up to 5 years and 300 degrees C for 1 year. The input of the HTADC 12 allows easy interfacing to sensors for data conversion applications. The direct input supports OV to 2.5V signals and includes an on chip buffer to allow for full 5V input signals. The outputs are 12 bit parallel, 2 X 8bit parallel and serial. The switched capacitor charge redistribution DAC architecture does not require a sample and hold input stage.

It is applicable for both multiplexed systems that switch full scale voltage levels in successive channels and for sampling single channel inputs at frequencies up to and well beyond the Nquist rate.
Although this high quality product is primarily used in hot well Oil drilling/monitoring and large Jet engine control systems, there are many other industries where extreme high temperature is involved and where this product could be used.
