Expanding Toshiba Electronics Europe's TX00 series of ARM Cortex-M0 core-based microcontrollers, the TMPM037FWUG has been announced. Featuring a low pin count of just 64 pins in a 10x10mm LQFP with 0.5mm pin pitch, the MCU is designed for motor control applications in equipment such as multifunction printers, printers, consumer electronics, digital equipment and factory automation equipment.

The TMPM037FWUG integrates an eight-channel 10-bit ADC, a 10-channel 16-bit timer with a programmable pulse generator and a six-channel serial interface (five-channel SIO/UART, one-channel I2C). This serial interface eliminates the need for interface extension ICs and a bit-band processing function that supports access and control of specific bits.

The MCU features a bit-band processing function that supports access and control of specific bits, increasing bit manipulation efficiency and enabling the optimisation of the product’s small-capacity flash memory (128KB Flash and 16KB SRAM).

Using the same ARM Cortex-M0-core as many other products, the TMPM037FWUG allows development tools for medium and large systems to be shared. This can improve efficiency and reduce development costs. This core operates over a voltage range of 2.3-3.6V and has a maximum operating frequency of 20MHz.
