The DTM165 series of medically certified 165W external power supplies has been introduced by TDK Corporation. Tested to the 3rd edition of IEC 60601-1, the products have 4,000V AC isolation from input to output and earth leakage currents of less than 300µA.

The series is intended to power a range of hospital, dental and healthcare products for monitoring, imaging and diagnostic applications.

The series comprises of six output voltages from 12 to 48V DC, and accepts a 90 to 264V AC input through a standard IEC 60320-C14 connector. The output cable is terminated with a 4-pin Power-DIN connector with other connector types available on request. The DTM165 series can operate in ambient temperatures up to 60ºC, and has a vent-free enclosure measuring 170 x 85 x 44mm.

An average efficiency level of >87% and an off-load power draw of less than 0.5W enables the series to fully meet CEC, ErP and EISA Efficiency Level V requirements.

In addition to IEC 60601-1, the DTM165 has been certified to EN 60601-1, ANSI/AAMI ES 60601-1, CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60601-1-08 and carries the CE mark. TDK-Lambda’s medical safety compliance extends to providing 2 x MOPPs (Means of Patient Protection) input to output and 1 x MOPP input to ground. All models comply with EN 55011-B, FCC Class B conducted and radiated emissions and EN 60601-11-2 immunity standards.
