Medical device platform suitable for the patient environment
With the TQ Medical-PC platform, TQ is now also focusing on the field of customer-specific HMI. The Medical-PCs in the device platform are fanless panel PCs for the medical sector, particularly for use in operating theatres and hygienically sensitive areas. The modular design enables sector-specific and customer-specific requirements to be transformed into ODM solutions in a professional manner.
The development conforms with DIN EN/IEC 60601-1 and DIN EN/IEC 60601-1-2, the Medical-PCs therefore meet all requirements for use in patient environments. The device platform offers a CPU solution with the performance-optimised embedded CPUs from Intel starting from Generation 6 (Intel Core i3/i5/i7). The motherboard was developed specifically for medical technology, in order to be able to meet the special requirements, such as isolated Ethernet interfaces.
Framegrabbers or extension cards can be attached via a PCI Express x16 slot on the motherboard. In addition, the whole device is passively cooled by means of an optimised cooling concept. In this way, troublesome ventilation slots which are hard to clean can be avoided. With a variety of further options, such as a capacitive toolbar, the TQ Medical-PC device platform featuring a modular design meets the most diverse of customer requirements.
