MSC now offers the VT-803 Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) from Vectron International. The new VT-803, provided in a 5.0 mm x 3.2 mm x 1.5 mm ceramic package, features high stability of 100 ppb and an excellent close in phase noise.
With available output frequencies of 10 MHz to 52 MHz and an aging of less than 0.5 ppm/year, the phase noise floor is -159 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset. A temperature stability of ±100 ppb is guaranteed from -10°C to +70°C and ±200 ppb from -40°C to +85°C.

The temperature compensated crystal oscillator operates off 2.8 V, 3.0 V, 3.3 V or 5.0 V supply voltage options at the input, while either clipped sine wave signal or CMOS signal level is available at the output.

In the past, designers had to decide between a TCXO with large footprint and high stability or a XO/VCXO with small footprint and reduced stability. The VT-803 puts an end to this dilemma by combining high stability with low aging and low phase noise in a small footprint. Typical fields of application for the RoHS6 compliant VT-803 are in small cell base stations, femto cells, IP networking, portable HF radios and in industrial markets.
