Suitable for satellite communications applications, the SFS6864A-LF fixed frequency synthesiser has been introduced by Z-Communications. The single frequency C-band synthesiser operates at 6864MHz with a 10MHz reference, and features a typical phase noise of -86dBc/Hz at the 10kHz offset.

While drawing 35mA (typical), the RoHS compliant synthesiser delivers a typical output power of 3dBm with a VCO voltage supply of 5Vdc. A phase locked loop voltage of 3Vdc is also delivered by the fixed frequency synthesiser, while drawing 11mA (typical). The SFS6864A-LF, which operates from -40 to 85°C, features a typical second harmonic suppression of -20dBc and spurious suppression of -65dBc. Z-Comm's standard PLL-V12N package, which measures 0.6x0.6x0.13", houses the synthesiser.
