Designed for single-phase systems, the FMAB NEO series of block filters has been released by SCHURTER. The devices combine a compact design with a high level of performance.

All versions come with large X capacitors, which ensure high symmetrical attenuation in the lower frequency range. Symmetrical interferences can occur because of phase-angle controllers or semi-conductor relays, for example. When the power semiconductors switch, they generate interference currents between the phase conductor and the neutral conductor. These are known as symmetrical interferences, which the X capacitors positioned between these conductors can help reduce effectively.

The filters feature a shiny steel housing with a closed filter base, shielding them in any mounting position. The block filters are particularly suitable for equipment with high symmetrical interferences, such as devices with semiconductors that control high-power equipment.

The devices are available with plug-in connections or thread bolts. A version with wire connection is also available and features a metal flange for easy screw-on mounting on the housing.

The filters are designed for current levels from 1 to 30A at 250VAC according to IEC and UL standards. The devices have ENEC and cURus approvals and are suited for applications according to IEC 60950. Versions are available with small leakage currents of less than 80µA or without leakage current for medical equipment according to IEC/UL 60601-1.
