Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier of frequency control solutions, now offers a new compact oscillator series with a stability of up to ±0.5 ppm across a wide operating temperature range of -30°C to 85°C. The new FOX923-GP Series, available as TCXOs (temperature-compensated crystal oscillators) or VCTCXOs (voltage-controlled, temperature compensated crystal oscillators), comes in supply voltages from 1.8 V to 3.3 V.
These features, combined with a small footprint of only 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm and a height of only 1.2 mm, make these RoHS-compliant ceramic SMD (surface mount device) oscillators ideal for a number of GPS applications, which require precision timing.

The oscillators offer a frequency range from 16 MHz to 27 MHz, and are available as standard in a variety if common GPS frequencies, such as 16.369 MHz, 23.104 MHz, and 26 MHz. Input current is 1.5 mA in frequencies from 16 MHz to 23 MHz and 1.7 mA from
24 MHz to 27 MHz. Additional frequencies can be requested by contacting Fox's technical support center.

Stability over the supply voltage change is ±0.3 ppm and ±0.2 ppm over the load change. The clipped SINE output waveform's peak-to-peak level is a minimum of 0.8 V. Aging per year is only ±1 ppm.
