New from AVX Corporation, the KT3225 & 2520 AAW series TCXOs feature a very tight frequency stability over temperature of +/- 0.5ppm over a wide temperature range of -40 to +85degC (+/-3ppm over -40 to +105degC). More, due to IC and crystal optimization, the new devices are lower in cost than traditional TCXOs that operate across this temperature range.

Targeted at applications including automotive GPS systems, GPS modules, marine navigation equipment and high-end industrial electronics, KT3225 & 2520 AAW series TCXOs are also available to AEC-Q200 on request. Measuring just 3.2 x 2.5mm and 2.5 x 2.0 mm in size and 1mm high, units cover the frequency range from 13-52MHz. Supply voltage is 1.7 to 3.5V.

Comments Hitoshi Kojitani, European Product Marketing Manager for Kyocera Electronic Devices: “AVX Kyocera is the largest supplier of TCXO products with approximately 40% market share. These new devices have a superior temperature slope and drift performance thanks to our patent-protected technologies. They are immediately available in order volumes from 3000 up to a million pieces.”
