At SPS IPC Drives trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany, Kontron will be showcasing numerous new products from 28th-30th November in hall 7, booth 193. This year the company is focusing on the presence on IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things). Highlights include Kontron Embedded Cloud solutions such as TSN / OPC-UA connected high performance embedded servers, fog computing, and edge gateways.

With the embedded cloud, time critical and sensitive machine data remains fully within a company's control. This allows for quick and safe analysis, the optimisation of processes, and the interaction of machines in real time.

Integration into the Microsoft Azure Cloud
Further complementing its extensive embedded systems portfolio, Kontron will showcase scaleable embedded servers, fog computing, and edge gateways suitable for building an embedded cloud.

The company will also introduce an integration into the Microsoft Azure Cloud for outsourcing data hosting and evaluation in business intelligence or other analytics tasks.

It will present data collection, virtualisation, and cloud-based device management solutions.

Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) solutions
Kontron will also showcase innovative products for the new open Time Sensitive Networking (TSN) standard for deterministic, time sensitive industrial ethernet networks. These solutions make possible the realisation of industrial network systems with minimal latency and maximum precision in coordination.

This includes, for instance, OPC UA-based real time control data and so-called Kontroll Streams for industrial facility control synchronously combining data from various machines.

These and other innovations will be on display at the Kontron booth, alongside the complete range of Kontron embedded boards, modules, Box-PCs, rackmount systems, and HMI, as well as middleware and services for IIoT and Industry 4.0.
