One of the highlights at the Rohde & Schwarz booth at PCIM 2017 in Nuremberg (May 16-18) will be the new entry-level R&S RTB2000 oscilloscope for education, R&D and production. Starting at EUR 1,250, the R&S RTB2000 offers functionality previously available only in oscilloscopes with a significantly higher price tag. It is the first in its class with a 10-bit vertical resolution and 10 MSample per channel acquisition memory.

The oscilloscope also features a 10.1in. capacitive touchscreen. Oscilloscopes in the R&S RTB2000 series can be purchased with two or four channels and with bandwidths of 70MHz, 100MHz, 200MHz or 300MHz.

New measurement options make the 6GHz model of the RTO2000 lab oscilloscope ideal for testing fast communications interfaces such as the 5 Gbit/s SuperSpeed USB and PCI Express (PCIe) 2.0 interfaces. Users will appreciate the new solution for USB power delivery (USB-PD). Rohde & Schwarz also supports the automotive industry with the first 1000Base-T1 compliance test solution for the R&S RTO2000.

In combination with the new R&S RT-ZM modular probe system, the R&S RTO2000 delivers a technically excellent solution for quickly and accurately measuring these fast signals.

The probes offer a maximum bandwidth of up to 9 GHz, a DC offset range of ±16 V and the MultiMode function that allows users to switch between test modes without recontacting.

Their ability to handle multidomain applications make these oscilloscopes ideal for IoT applications, particularly for power integrity measurements. Rohde & Schwarz addresses this field of application with accessories such as the R&S RT-ZPR20, a high-sensitivity, extremely low-noise power rail probe with 2GHz bandwidth.

The Rohde & Schwarz portfolio also includes handheld T&M equipment for installation, service and maintenance tasks in the field and in the lab.

The R&S Scope Rider RTH is a robust, portable oscilloscope that combines eight instruments in one, making it the most versatile instrument in its class. Since the fully insulated, handheld instrument meets measurement category CAT IV requirements, it can be used to perform measurements at the source of low-voltage installations up to 600 V.

The R&S Spectrum Rider FPH handheld spectrum analyser has an amazingly low weight and a long battery life. It offers solid RF performance and measurement accuracy. With its large keys and touchscreen, it is easy and convenient to use.

The company will also showcase the new R&S NGE100 compact power supply. The R&S NGE100 offers variable channel switching and versatile overload protection. And thanks to its state-of-the-art architecture, it is extremely small, compact and quiet.
