Registration is now open for the 20th annual Microchip Worldwide MASTERs Conference at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix, Arizona. The conference will take place from August 17-20, 2016, with a pre-conference being held August 15-16. This year, in partnership with Mouser Electronics, Grant Imahara will be a special guest speaker.

Microchip’s annual MASTERs Conference is the premier technical training event for embedded control engineers.

This year’s theme is “Inspire. Inform. Innovate.” and will provide design engineers with a forum for sharing and exchanging technical information on Microchip’s large portfolio of products as well as being a design resource for using the products in applications.

There is a broad range of activities offered at MASTERs, including over 100 lectures and 47 hands-on classes for engineers at every skill level. In addition, we will be offering multiple classes on recently acquired Atmel products. Microchip will again be offering a two-day pre-conference for those who wish to attend additional classes and skill workshops.

“We are very excited about the offerings at this year’s MASTERs Conference,” said Ken Pye, Microchip’s vice president of worldwide applications. “The types of technical training courses offered at MASTERs are crucial in reducing development time for our customers. In addition, we are thrilled to welcome Grant Imahara to MASTERs this year, as we know he will add tremendous value for our attendees. I am confident this year will be the best MASTERs event yet.”

Grant Imahara is the Mouser Electronics’ spokesperson for its popular Empowering Innovation Together program. He is best known for his roles on MythBusters and BattleBots.

In addition, he has worked on many famous robotic characters including R2-D2 in the Star Wars prequels and the Energiser Bunny.

Imahara’s presentation will take place on Thursday, August 18, where he will share where he gets his inspiration, information, and innovative ideas. After Imahara’s presentation he will open the floor for a live Q&A followed by an opportunity to meet Imahara and take photos.
