With the Government of India’s flagship programme ‘Make in India’ and initiatives like ‘Smart Cities’ and ‘Digital India’, the industry expects to reduce its dependency on electronic import by 50% from 2016 to 2017. As per the Task Force Report by Government of India, the gross size of the electronic industry is approximately $1.9tn and expected to reach $2.9tn by 2020. The electronic industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the world and in India. The numbers are impressive and act as a motivation for investment in this sector. The trade fairs will feature knowledge sharing sessions to meet the needs of the growing Indian electronics industry. The sessions will be led by industry leaders who will add value by sharing their knowledge. In addition to these sessions, the second edition of an exclusive pavilion on strategic electronics for defence and aerospace, DEFTRONICS, jointly organised by Indian Electronics & Semiconductor Association and MMI India, will be powered by key industry people

According to Bhupinder Singh, CMO & Member of the Management Board, MMI India: “It is an achievement to have a sold out space two months in advance. This reaffirms our commitment to the industry in offering them the best platform in conducting business. No other trade fair would show a comprehensive picture of the entire electronic components and manufacturing value chain.”
