Akros are "Tripling the Power of PoE” at APEC 2014
At APEC 2014’s Industry Sessions conference program, Akros Silicon will deliver a presentation entitled: “Tripling the Power of PoE”. Faisal Ahmad, Vice President of Marketing, Akros Silicon, will present the paper, offering the audience an informative discussion on the future of PoE and how it is opening new opportunities and challenges for power supply designers and systems integrators.
Part of the 'Controls and Passive Components' session, Ahmad’s presentation is scheduled to begin at 3:30p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, March 19, 2014, at the Fort Worth Convention Center. Consisting of a 20-minute slide presentation followed by a brief Q&A session, the Akros presentation will cover these topics: PoE overview, 4-pair PoE power delivery, network power management, delivering 90W in PoE systems and energy conservation with PoE.
First introduced in 2004, APEC’s Industry Sessions are geared to address topics of current interest. They particularly focus on the impact of emerging technologies on today’s designs. Presented by leaders in the power electronics industry, the Industry Sessions presentations are not published in the Conference Proceedings and will only be made available to session attendees and upon request following the conference.
