Aerco wins SC21 Bronze Award
Aerco was presented with the SC21 Bronze Award at a SC21 Taskforce meeting in Bristol on the 19th November of this year. SC21 is a performance development programme designed to improve and accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace and defence industry by raising the performance of its supply chains. With national and international competitiveness increasing it is crucial that companies of all sizes participating in the UK supply chain maximise their performance and achieve key results.
Aerco managing director, Rob Laughton said: “At Aerco we have been actively involved in the SC21 programme for several years and we consider it a great achievement to receive a Bronze Award.” The SC21 programme is largely about doing what we do already using continuous improvement techniques. Through SC21 we have established better collaborative relationships with key suppliers and customers and this has reinforced our mission to maintain our position as a top performer in the distribution of electrical components. Throughout this process we have received valuable mentoring and assistance from staff at BAE Systems, and Augusta Westland for which we are extremely grateful.”
