ADLINK Technology is preparing to show a raft of products at the SPS IPC Drives show in Nuremberg (Nov 25-27). Centre stage will be the high-speed pharmaceutical inspection applications empowered by ADLINK’s new generation x86 smart camera, the NEON-1040, featuring quad core Intel Atom processor E3845 1.9 GHz, 2048 x 2048 pixels @ 60 fps 1in monochrome CMOS global shutter image sensor, and PWM lighting control.

The quad core CPU increases computing power, and FPGA coprocessors and GPU deliver advanced image processing well beyond the capabilities of conventional smart cameras. Rich software support and API compatibility further enable easy migration from original platforms, making it simple for system integrators to fulfill a variety of inspection application needs.

ADLINK EtherCAT total solutions for automation are based on their IEC-63313-3-compliant Talos series automation controller and time-deterministic I/O and EPS series motion control systems.

Compatibility with a variety of EtherCAT servo drives and 3rd party EtherCAT products is guaranteed, delivering unified, powerful communication for the entire automation sector. Finally, the EPS’ unique structural and electronic advantages support hot-swapping, and rugged construction and wide operating temperature tolerance enable operation in the harshest environments.

Also on parade is the IMT-1 Android 4.2 tablet PC (pictiured) with a 10.1in capacitive touch screen and built-in megapixel cameras on the front and rear, integrating the TI OMAP5432 1.5GHz dual-core ARM A15 processor for high performance computing power. Built-in WLAN or optional WWAN connectivity enables the IMT-1 to easily access information in a wide variety of workplace scenarios. An IP54 rating and 1.2 meter (with optional protective housing) drop resistance support significantly ruggedised construction to withstand the most demanding environments.

ADLINK will also introduce its new Embedded IoT Gateway Solutions, the MXE-100i and MXE-200i. Based on the Intel Quark SoC X1020 and Intel Atom SoC E3826, the solutions’ reliable I/O design maximises industrial connectivity, and, combined with ADLINK’s SEMA Cloud utility, deliver manageability and robustness demanded by mission critical operations. In addition, IoT-ready platforms benefit from full support for Intel Gateway Solutions, integrating Wind River Intelligent Device Platform XT 2.0, and McAfee Embedded Control, for essential cornerstone reliability and security.
