A range of sub-miniature toggle switches, the Salecom TS40-T is available at distributor JPR Electronics. This compact switch offers designers space savings on PCB layouts and reductions in control panel size. The TS40-T switches are available in horizontal and vertical styles and feature gold plated terminal pins on a standard 2.54mm pitch for direct PCB mounting.

Ranging in size from 12mm up to 40mm, the styles offer ring and dot illumination, the international standby symbol or non-illuminated options. Mushroom actuators along with raised or flat actuators give the design engineer a multitude of options. IP67 sealing is standard along with a choice of body and actuator colours including stainless steel, nickel and anodised aluminum in black, red, yellow, green or blue.

Developer and manufacturer of fluid and gas sensing solutions, SST Sensing, has released its Optomax Industrial Glass devices which are targeted at installation within harsh industrial environments. Thanks to their stainless steel construction and glass sensor tip, these single point liquid level switches exhibit elevated operational robustness. As a result, these devices are suited to applications where they are exposed to extreme temperatures (up to 125°C) and high pressures (up to 600bar).

Power Integrations has announced a new reference design, DER-622, describing a smart wall switch compatible with wiring conditions most commonly found in residential retrofit installations. Typically, smart wall switches with wireless connectivity, occupancy/vacancy sensing and/or voice control require a neutral return wire to power the unit, which is not always available in retrofit situations.
