Reinforcing an already strong commitment to design excellence, MMD announces a refreshed line-up of consumer displays. With a 23" version using AH-IPS panel technology, as well as 24 and 27" versions featuring PLS LED panels, all three of the latest E-Line displays offer vivid, true-to-life colours and wide-angle viewing, styled in an elegant design for a light, fresh feel in any home or office.

The latest crop of E-Line displays continues the tradition of smart design that has made these consumer monitors such a success over the years. Available in a glossy white finish with a slim metal stand, the 24 and 27" monitors complement users home décor. The 23" display comes in a glossy black finish, features edge-to-edge glass and narrow borders for a seamless appearance and minimal viewing distraction. For an extra sleek look, the front border on every model is kept free of touch buttons: all three displays feature a discreetly placed EasySelect toggle key on the rear to make quick adjustments to monitor settings.

Artem Khomenko, Product Manager, Philips Monitors EMEA, commented: “When people choose a display for their living space, looks really matter. No matter how advanced the technology, the overall appearance has to complement the home décor. That means smart, fresh lines and certainly no trailing cables. With their clean look and glossy finish, these displays are designed to combine elegance with a fantastic viewing experience.”

The 24 and 27" displays work with PLS LED technology and the 23" model features an AH-IPS panel. Both technologies deliver a brilliant viewing experience, with extra-wide 178° viewing angles, making it possible to view the display from almost side on if necessary. Images are consistently crisp and colours vivid, making the displays suitable not only for photos, movies and web browsing, but also for professional applications that demand colour accuracy and consistent brightness at all times. Colour-wise, the two PLS displays can reproduce 82% of the NTSC colour gamut (as opposed to 72% on typical monitors), meaning they can show a wider range of colours for more true-to-life images.

All three displays offer a 16:9 Full HD 1920x1080 resolution for rich detail and contrast and feature Philips Flicker-free technology for an ultra-stable picture that keeps eyes fresh even after hours of viewing. To enhance the picture quality, the displays include Philips Smart technologies for an excellent imaging performance: SmartContrast analyses the screen content and automatically adjusts colours and backlight intensity for the best digital images and videos. Users can also turn on a special Economy mode for display settings which are just right for everyday office applications and lower power consumption. SmartImage Lite also analyses screen content and dynamically enhances contrast, colour saturation and image sharpness for an ultimate display performance, all in real time at the touch of a button.

More people than ever now record images and videos on their smartphones. Yet playback on the diminutive screen detracts from viewing pleasure. With the E-Line displays, users can hook up their mobile phone or other MHL-capable devices via an optional MHL cable and watch HD videos come to life with full digital sound on the widescreen display. The mobile device is also charged simultaneously, so it never runs out of power halfway through. The Philips displays 237E7QDSB, 246E7QDSW and 276E7QDSW will be available at the beginning of November at £149, £159 and £219, respectively.
